We gathered our herd from all around, our first spotted boer goats came from Bon Joli Farm in Texas, and we added a few does from Edwards Lookout Farm in Ohio, Rowdy Mountain Boer Goats in Kentucky. Our first spotted buck was Logan Hill Cosmic Blast, and he really added quality spotted does and bucks for us to build around. More recently we hit a few great dispersal sales. The first being the Fern Hollow Farm dispersal, where we had the opportunity to purchase some very nice colored and spotted breeding stock, that really added to our herd of color. The most recent dispersal was the Lazy S-T dispersal sale in San Angelo, TX over Labor Day weekend 2011. This sale brought the opportunity to buy spectacular colored stock, that just had not be available. The Dusek’s spent years fine tuning these blood lines and building superior colored stock. We brought home 10 lots from that sale, two of the those being Lazy S-T Rose Petal, who is the most spectacular red boer doe I have ever seen, her size and confirmation are second to none. And we also purchased Lazy S-T Buckshot, a huge solid red boer buck with a massive hindquarter, confirmation and horn set that will really add to anything he is bred to. Kids from all of these newest acquisitions will be hitting the ground in early 2012, and will be for sale here at the farm in Pennsylvania, and at the Splash of Color Sale, in April in Tennessee.
